About Tungnath and Chandrashila trek

One can take a trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila and get away from the clamour of city life. Chopta valley is at a height of 2680 metres and is surrounded by a dense oak forests and has growth of Deodar and Rhododendrons. To admire and view the Himalayan peaks, the most ideal trek is Chandrashila Summit trek.

It is one of the most beautiful treks in the Garhwal Himalayan region and passed through beautiful meadows and unpaved trails. On reaching the summit, one can treat his/her eyes with the breathtaking view of Himalayas.

It is advisable to start early in the morning from Chopta to Tungnath, where there's the highest Shiv temple in the world. This trek is taken by trekkers from all over the world and is considered as one of the most moderate treks in the Indian Himalayan region. The duration of trek is 3-6 days.
