About THALI TEMPLE

At a separation of 1 Km from Kozhikode Railway Station, Thali Temple is a fourteenth century, devote to Lord Siva situated in the core of Kozhiode City. This temple was destructed by Tippu Sultan and Hyder Ali amid their attack of Kozhikode and was later revamped. The two storied sanctum has imaginative stone figures and wood carvings with scenes from the puranas. High dividers and a far reaching sanctuary lake are a portion of the strengths of this sanctuary. The sanctuary complex additionally houses a hallowed place for Lord Krishna. The sanctuary is outstanding for the 'Revathi Pattathanam', a yearly rivalry of instructive abilities. The yearly celebration is commended for 8 days in the long stretch of April/May.
