Tendong Hill

Tendong Hill is situated in the southern part of Sikkim, above Damthang and in close proximity of the South headquarters town Namtse. It offers a spectacular view of the valley in Sikkim. It is situated at a height of 8530 feet above Damthang. It is a famous tourist attraction. 

Tendong Hill has been the residence of many Buddhist Lamas due to its serene nature. They have meditated in the quiet atmosphere of the place. One can get breathtaking views from the peak of Tendong Hill and that is something one cannot miss while visiting Namchi. 

One has to take a trek to reach Tendong Hill. The treat starts from Damthang, a drive of 13 kms from Ravangla. The trek is enjoyable as you get to pass through the thick green vegetation, rich in rare flora and fauna. Himalayan bears, red pandas and leopards are sheltered in this forest. Wildlife enthusiasts and trekkers must not miss out on this one.
