About Tawang Monastery

Situated in the midst of the beautiful environment, the Tawang Monastery otherwise called the Golden Namgyal Lhatse is genuinely a jewel of Arunachal Pradesh. Roosted at the stature of 3,000 meters above ocean level, it has been perceived as the second biggest religious community on the planet, the first being Lhasa.

The religious community is accepted to be 400 years of age and has control more than 17 gompas in the district. Worked as a substantial manor, it is a house more than 300 priests. Lying in the midst of the Himalayan reaches, it offers an amazing perspective of the Tawang-Chu valley. Being a well known religious focus, it is a noteworthy vacation destination. The cloister houses an enormous statue of Lord Buddha which is 8 meters in tallness.
