Sri Govinda Bhagavatpaada Cave

Sri Govinda Bhagavatpaada Cave is situated in Madhya Pradesh, another well kown caves in Madhya Pradesh. The cave has got religious significance. According to legend, it is said that Shankarcharya met saint Govind Bhagwatpad in this cave and got enlightened with spiritual education and became a follower to him and was baptized under him which we popularly term as deeksha.

The cave is composed with a main hall and a small sanctum of Shivlingam. As per a broader vision, Shankarcharya walked through the forest and valleys and travel through much disorder to find Saint Govinda Bhagavatapada beside river Narmada and finally got blessings. The cave is a major importance and is visited with much faith and pious.
