About Skiing

Skiing, basically is a recreational or a competitive sport wherein the participant uses ski to glide on the snow. The most important thing in skiing is the slope. More the slope more the speed and more thrill. Well, Kurfi apart from being popular in winter - is a skier’s paradise. During winter kurfi gathers huge amounts of snow and due to high altitude, there are many small mountains which are perfect for skiing.

The name kurfi was derived from the native word of “Small Pond”. This little town is situated around 16 km drive from Shimla and is a beautiful and adventurous tourist attraction. Thousands of tourists flock this place in the months of December to January. Being famous for it’s slopes, deep valleys and thick carpet snow, kurfi as of today has developed a lot!
