About Shirdi Sai Mandir

Nested in Assnthang in Namchi is the magnificent Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, only a few kilometers away from the Namchi market and district headquarters. This beautiful pilgrimage center was a gift of Chief Minister Pawan Chamling to the people of Sikkim.

The temple consists of a two storied building, painted golden. It looks glorious when the rays of sun fall on it. There is a marble statue of Sai Baba and paintings of Lord Vishnu inside. The 10 paintings represent the 10 different incarnations of the Hindu God. Within the temple is a beautiful garden where one can walk and admire the beauty of nature as well as get a glimpse of the mighty Kanchenjunga.
