The Shettihalli church is located about 2 km from Shettihalli in Karnataka. It is an ancient church built in the 1860s by French missionaries in India. The magnificent structure of Gothic architecture is a famous tourist spot where people flock during monsoon the have a look at the half submerged church.
The construction of Hemavati Dam and Reservoir in the 1960 led to the abandonment of the church. In the winter, when the water recedes, the church emerges in all its glory.
