Lady seat

Lady's seat is one of the most visited sites in the town. It offers a spectacular view of Salem. It is an ideal spot for nature lovers, photographers and wanderers.

The Lady's seat, gent's seat and the children's seat are located to the south west of the Shevaroyan Hills. Present in the form of a seat, one can look across the winding ghat road and the Salem town. The rocks are naturally made.

The belief goes that the English lady used to spend her evening in the rock watching the beautiful view. That is where it derives its name from. The place has a viewing tower, provided with a telescope to enjoy the beauty of the Mettur Dam and townscape.
