Located in the Mimicoy island of Lakshadweep is the masjid which holds a lot of religious and historical significance. It was believed to have been built during the medieval period. The old masjid is a famous place of worship today, where pilgrims flock in large numbers.
Being old, the masjid has some rare artifacts. The Rai Hilai is still preserved in the mosque and is believed to be the remains of an ancient stone anchor.
