About Jaipur Zoo

As the name suggests this zoo is located in a close proximity to Jaipur. Opened in 1877, this is a haven for wild animals. This zoo is basically divided into mainly 2 parts. The first part consists of mammals and the second part consists of birds and reptiles. It is said that over 50 different species of birds can be found at this zoo from all around the world.

There are approximately 500 animals at this zoo. This is the best fun place for you are planning to visit with your family. The kids will surely love this place as there are many different types of animal and at the same time will increase their general knowledge about them. Coming to the zoo, the main objective of this zoo is conservation of wildlife.

One can find carnivorous animals ranging from Bengal tiger to Indian civet, herbivores from the black buck to hog deer. This is the best place to visit in Jaipur!
