About Jagannath Rath Yatra

Ratha Yatra or Ratha Jatra or Chariot Festival is a Hindu celebration related with Lord Jagannath held at Puri in the province of Odisha, India. It is the most seasoned Ratha Yatra occurring in India and the World, whose portrayals can be found in Brahma Purana, Padma Purana, and Skanda Purana and Kapila Samhita.
This yearly celebration is commended on Ashadha Shukla Paksha Dwitiya second day in brilliant fortnight of Ashadha month.loard Krishna The celebration remembers Jagannath's yearly visit to Gundicha Temple by means of Mausi Maa Temple close relative's home close Balagandi Chaka, Puri. As a feature of Ratha Yatra, the gods of Jagannath, his senior sibling Balabhadra and more youthful sister Subhadra are taken out in a parade to Gundicha Temple and stay there for nine days.They are likewise joined by Sudarshana chakra.
