HOSDURG FORT

This fort is an antiquated structure situated close Kanhangad town 4 Kms. It is at a separation of 13 Kms from Bekal Fort. This Fort is otherwise called Kanhangad Fort. This Fort is accepted to have been built by Somasekhara Nayak of the Ikkery Dynasty. The post is encompassed by a high block divider with round bastions. Just the remnants of the post remain now. The fortress premises are currently being utilized for a few open workplaces. Sanctuaries like Karpooreshwara Temple devoted for Lord Shiva and Sri Lakshmi Venkataramana Temple are situated inside the Fort. The Nityananda Ashram is likewise situated toward the south-west of the Fort.
