About Hammir Mahal

Thousand of women in the stronghold performed "Jauhar" by bouncing into flame and the men surged out of the fortification to battle unto demise. Hammir and his dedicated officers were executed in the fight and Khilji assumed control over the post in July 1301 A.D. Hammir was a striking steadfast and benevolent ruler.
