Fort William

Fort William is called  a fort in Calcutta Kolkata, built during the early years of the Bengal Presidency of British India so many time ago in past. It situated on the eastern banks of the River hooghly, the major Distributary of the River ganges.. It is said that  An internal guard room became the Black Hole of Calcutta. Today fort william is the property of the Indian army.

The army gaurd it seriously because of it is the property which should be protected by Indian Army. which used to serve as a chaplaincy centre for the British citizens of Kolkata which was in past called as culcutta, is now a library for the troops of hq eastern command. The fort was named after william In front of the Fort is ground, the largest park in the city. An internal guard room became the  black hole of Kalkutta.
