The Durga bagh garden was built in 1868 AD by Maharaja Shiv Dan are located in close proximity to the Ana Sagar Lake. These gardens are located at a distance of approximately 50 kilometres from the main city of Ajmer. It is one of the best-known gardens in Ajmer with numerous flowers in this lush garden. The Marble pavilions built in the premises of the Durga Bagh Gardens are another attraction of the garden which was constructed by the Emperor Shah Jahan also adds more visual grandeur to the park.
This is an ideal spot for a picnic and to relax. Many beautifully bloomed flowers and tall trees make the breeze calm and cool. Many ornamental plants also provide shade to the people. From the garden, Ana Sagar Lake can be viewed where tourists take a ride on boats. The place is also visited by many families who like to enjoy a family picnic with their loved ones and friends.
The beauty of the place was once destroyed by British, by building concrete structures here. But Indian Government restored its glory back by demolishing those structures. The entry to the garden was free and welcomed by all.
