About Dakshineswar Kali Temple

Dakshineswar Kali Temple is a Hindu temple located in Kolkata. This is the famous temple in kolkata town. Situated on the eastern bank of the Hooghly River, the presiding deity of the temple is Bhavatarini, an element of Kali, meaning, 'She who liberates Her devotees from the sea of lifestyles'. The temple turned into constructed in 1855 via Rani Rashmoni, a philanthropist and a devotee of Kali. The temple is famous for its association with Ramakrishna, a mystic of nineteenth Century Bengal.

The temple compound, apart from the nine-spired fundamental temple, includes a big courtyard surrounding the temple, with rooms along the boundary walls. There are twelve shrines devoted to Shiva Kali's accomplice alongside the riverfront, a temple to Radha-Krishna, a bathing ghat on the river, a shrine committed to Rani Rashmoni. 'Nahabat', the chamber within the northwestern nook simply beyond the closing of the Shiva temples, is where Ramakrishna spent a massive part of his existence.
