About Chowrasta

Chowrasta is one of the main attractions of Darjeeling. It lies at the heart of the city and you will find people happily sitting on the benches and soaking sun. The view from the mall is quite spectacular with valleys and mountains being surrounded.

It is the social center of Darjeeling. Locals and tourists happily sit here sipping a cup of tea and tasting some really nice dumplings. There are also some local guys who will offer to come for a horse ride at a minimal price.

The reason it is called Chowrasta where chow means 4 and rasta means the road is because the some of the important roads are connected with this road. Busy roads like the Nehru road where one can buy clothes and other things from the emporium and Bhutia shops. The Nehru road and the mall road also are connected.

never book with them...they are running a scam....i booked with them because of the decent reviews but later realised that this could all be paid reviews...in these days of digital marketing,buying 70 reviews is not a big deal.i will just mention the major disappointments firstly , i was getting a much cheaper rate from somewhere else but they said they will do a price match and give me the exact same deal. once i paid the deposit, they called me back to say that they cannot give the same hot
