Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this is one of the most revered temples in Bhuntar. It is located at an altitude of about 2,460 meters. It can be reached by a 3 kilometer long trek in the Kullu valley.
The temple is said to be struck by lightning at times. It gets its name from this phenomenon. It is said that the temple priest restores the Shiv Linga, joining together the fragments of it scattered by the effect of the lightning. The temple houses a 60 feet tall staff which can be seen from afar. It offers a panoramic view of the surrounding valley. The most number of visitors are seen during the auspicious occasion of Shivaratri.
