About Amber Fort

Whether say Amber Fort or Amer Fort, the building is an ancient fortress situated at a distance of about 11 km from Jaipur in Rajasthan. It is a magnificent structure dedicated to the ruling Kachhawa clan of Amber, stands perched at the top of a cliff next to the Jaipur Delhi HIghway. Its structural designing is an exquisite mix of the Mughal and Rajput schools of architecture, innovatively combining redstone as well as white marble. The Amber Fort is genuinely one of the splendid draws of the pink city. Thanks to the Maota Lake lends this stately reminder of Rajput an imposing look. Inside the Amber Fort is the temple shrine of Shila Mata or the Kali Temple, who happens to be the family goddess of the Kachhawaha Rajput royals. The Amber Fort dazzles your eyes with its most striking formation called the Amber Palace. It is an inside building established by Man Singh I. It is dotted with sprawling gardens, large rooms and chambers, excellent planning as well as affluent elaboration. The palace also boasts of other structures like the Jai Mandir Temple of Victory, Sukh Niwas, Sheesh Mahal, the hall of Mirrors and Ganesh Pole. Being an onlooker the intricate carving on the walls and ceiling and hunting paintings are a representation of ex- chivalrous Rajput rulers who were self-obsessed and truly adventurous. Further, the fort also presents three-sides opened Diwan-e-Aam Hall of Public Audience & Diwan e-Khaas Hall of Private Audience. By all ways the Amber Fort is a worth-beholding site.
