About Sparrenberg Castle

Sparrenberg Castle, also known as the Sparrenburg is a restored fortress in the Bielefeld-Mitte district of Bielefeld, Germany. It is arranged on the Sparrenberg slope 180 meters 590 ft elevation in the Teutoburg Forest and towers 60 meters 200 ft over the downtown area. Its present appearance for the most part started in the sixteenth and nineteenth century. The Sparrenburg is thought to be Bielefeld's point of interest. The Sparrenburg was raised as a chateau at some point before 1250 by the tallies of Ravensberg.
