About The Creation of Me
A three-month artwork project challenged college students from Brooks Academy of Science and Engineering to take at the complex and nuanced subject of identification. The UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures has collaborated with Brooks to reveal the results of this undertaking as the subsequent student exhibit, “The Creation of Me”. Through interviews with mother and father, grandparents and other circle of relatives participants, college students exposed tales about their history and advanced an understanding of their locations in society.
The exercising instilled a feel of pride of their pasts and their households. They located and described who they may be and wherein they come from.Using the dry factor with Plexiglas process, students grew to become a own family image into a piece of artwork.
