About Rauma Festivo

Rauma FestivoVanha Rauma offers unique venues for the August Rauma Festival. The chamber music festival's software is built around a changing theme each year, blending freshly the great classics with lesser-known beads. The five-day chamber music festival consists of events taking advantage of unique concert venues in the Old Town of Rauma and the surrounding area. Concerts, afternoon moments, presentations and market and café shows, as well as surprise concerts from the public, usually in enclosed private courtyards, bring music and international top artists to all city dwellers and visitors.

 

The chamber music is played in the prestigious prayer room at Poselli, acclaimed by the acoustics, for example, in the Church of the Holy Cross, which was built 500 years ago by the Franciscan brothers, and in the Rauma Maritime Museum, which used to be a sea school. There are also free concerts every day, where even the smallest of the family can experience live, acoustic music. Rauma Festivo, a chamber music festival organized by Rauma Concert Association, in August 2013 celebrated its 30th anniversary.
