Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park: 160 km: Approx. 3hrs Meal plan: Lunch, Dinner 08:00hrs: Pick up from Nairobi Ibis Style hotel and depart for Lake Nakuru national park. An easy scenic sightseeing drive via the Great Rift Valley escarpment with views of superb scenery There shall stop to marvel at the dramatic fall of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Along the way, we will have an optional stop at the Freshwater Lake Naivasha for an exciting boat safari experience to view hippos, exotic birds, and a small game. After the boat ride, we embark on an optional guided walking safari at Crescent Island (Entry fee not included). Later proceed to Lake Nakuru, arriving in the late morning. Due to progressive natural factors like increasing water levels, the flamingo numbers have been reducing, but the park remains stunning – one of Kenya’s finest. Great rocky escarpments tower over acacia forest, waterfalls, wooded hills, and euphorbia trees dot the Lake. In addition to the flamingos, a variety of other bird species, such as pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, ostriches, storks, herons, and eagles, can also be seen here. The view is rich in color and bustling with activity. But that’s only the beginning of what this unique park offers because the wildlife viewing here is easy and accessible. Lake Nakuru is known for hosting some endangered but beautiful species. You’ll surely see rare Rothschild Giraffes and white rhinos, especially along the lakeshore. The park is also a sanctuary for one of Kenya’s largest populations of black rhinos. We will spend the afternoon driving to watch birds and game around the Lake. Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Game Reserve: 300 km: Approx. 6 hrs Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner A Short game and bird-watching drive at the Lake Nakuru national park. Proceed to the Masai Mara game reserve. There shall be stops at scenic places along the Nakuru – Masai Mara route. Afternoon game viewing drives at the Masai Mara. Day 3: Full Day – Masai Mara Discovery Tours Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Today shall be a game-viewing extravaganza! Masai Mara Game Reserve remains the most exciting wildlife ecosystem in the Natural world. It hosts the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other regional wildlife park. The scenic appeal of the tree-studded savannah plains, the moderate climate, and the diversity of wild game species make it a one-stop shop for game-viewing activities. We shall traverse the Masai Mara reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing, encountering the big five and more of the lesser game. Day 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve- Nairobi – 265Km – Approx: 5 hrs Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch. Early morning game viewing drive at the Masai Mara game reserve. We will be leaving Masai Mara in the mid-morning and heading towards Nairobi. There shall be a lunch stop along the way. Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon, approximately 4:30 pm.
