Victoriaville

Victoriaville is a city in focal Quebec, Canada, on the Nicolet River. Victoriaville is the seat of Arthabaska Regional County Municipality and a piece of the Center-du-Quebec Bois-Francs district. It was framed in 1993 by the merger of Arthabaska, Saint-Victoire-d'Arthabaska and Victoriaville, with the name of the last being utilized for the new consolidated city. The Victoriaville zone was referred to the local Abenaki people groups as Arthabaska or Awabaska, signifying "place of bulrushes and reeds".

The territory was first guaranteed in 1802 by a hide broker named John Gregory; the main pioneers started arriving quite a few years after the fact, starting around 1825.
