About Point Pelee National Park
Point Pelee National Park is a national stop in Essex County in southwestern Ontario in Canada where it stretches out into Lake Erie. The word pelee is French for 'revealed'. Point Pelee involves a projection of land, generally of bog and backwoods living spaces, that abatements to a sharp call attention to it extends into Lake Erie. Focus Island, in like manner part of Point Pelee National Park, was secured in 2000 and is just north of the Canada– United States edge in Lake Erie. Local people lived on Point Pelee for quite a while before European colonization, returning to no under 6,000 years. The greatest archeological site found at Point Pelee is thought to have been had between AD 700 and 900.
