About Ouffet
Ouffet is a French - speaking municipality of Belgium located in the Walloon Region in the province of Liege , as well as a locality where its administration is located. The town is part of the Regional Economic Group of valleys of the Ourthe, Vesdre and Ambleve GREOVA and is part of the tourism house of the Pays d'Ourthe-Ambleve . The commune of Ouffet resulting from the merger of the communes in 1976 brings together the old communes of Ouffet, Warzée and Ellemelle which were formerly part of the ban of Ouffet. With 2755 inhabitants in the 1 st January 2014, the town is one of the least populated of the province of Liege . Ouffet is a typical commune of the Liege Condroz with its stems and its chavées . However, the eastern end of the town Odeigne Castle is part of the Famenne .
Geographical element little known, the town of Ouffet borders the left bank of the Ourthe about 700 m between the villages of Hamoir and Fairon and below the castle of Odeigne. There are currently more than 60 farms in the commune and nearly 7,000 cattle, most of which are of Belgian blue-white breed, as well as six quarries exploiting mainly small granite 5 . The south of the town is limited by the course of the Neblon whose valley is steep and wooded. An important collection of food water is located in Néblon-le-Moulin .
