Farciennes

Farciennes is a Walloon municipality located within the Belgian province of Hainaut. On January 1, 2006, Farciennes had a complete population of 11,099. The overall location is 10.39 km² which offers a population density of 1,069 population per km². It is positioned at the entre-Sambre-et-Meuse within the outer edge of Charleroi. In the beyond, Farciennes became an business town.

It declined with the closure of the ultimate Walloon coal mine, specifically the Sainte-Catherine shaft of the Roton agency, and the fall of the iron and steel industries, previously big employers inside the place among Liege and Charleroi.
