About Punakha

On October 13, 2011, the wedding of the King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, and his life accomplice, Jetsun Pema, was held at the Punakha Dzong.

Punakha valley has a stunning air with warm winters and sweltering summers. It is arranged at an ordinary stature of 1200 meters above sea level.
