The Cathedral of St. Patrick is a designed Neo-Gothic-style Roman Catholic basilica church in the United States and a conspicuous point of interest of New York City.
It is the seat of the ecclesiastical overseer of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, and a ward church, situated on the east side of Fifth Avenue in the vicinity of 50th and 51st Streets in Midtown Manhattan, straightforwardly over the road from Rockefeller Center and particularly confronting the Atlas statue.
It is viewed as a standout amongst the most obvious images of Roman Catholicism in New York City and the United States.
