Franklin Ghost Town

Take after a delicate old railroad level into the coal-mining apparition town of Franklin, along the Green River close Black Diamond. It's a simple stroll up to the coal truck and fixed mine pole. Franklin and its related Oregon Improvement Company mine have a storied past which incorporates the questionable refinement of having been the site of one of Washington State's most exceedingly awful mine debacles.

On August 24, 1894 thirty-seven mineworkers choked because of a terminate in the mine that seemed to have been deliberately begun.
