Cherry Creek Dam

Cherry Creek Dam is particularly situated in Arapahoe County, Colorado, in rural Denver, southeast of the downtown area. It was the first of the three dams to be worked to bring down the dangers to the Denver district from cataclysmic South Platte River floodwaters that tormented the territory for over 100 years.
