About Ledbury
Ledbury is a Herefordshire showcase town, lying east of Hereford, and west of the Malvern Hills. It has a critical number of timber-encircled structures, specifically along Church Lane and High Street. A standout amongst the most exceptional is the Market House, worked in 1617, situated in the town focus. Other eminent structures incorporate the ward church of St. Michael and All Angels, the Painted Room containing sixteenth-century frescoes, the Old Grammar School, the Barrett-Browning commemoration clock tower composed by Brightwen Binyon and opened in 1896 to house the library until 2015, adjacent Eastnor Castle and the St. Katherine's Hospital site.
Founded c. 1231, this is an uncommon surviving case of a healing center complex, with corridor, sanctuary, a Master's House completely reestablished and opened in March 2015 to house the Library, almshouses and a timber-encircled animal dwellingplace. Ledbury is a precinct whose starting points date to around 690 AD. In the Domesday Book it was recorded as Liedeberge. It might take its name from the River Leadon on which it stands. Early English burg invigorated or shielded site has been added to the stream name.
