About Barry Castle

Barry Castle is a little Grade II recorded demolished two-story gatehouse with the adjoining dividers of a corridor situated in the Romilly region of Barry, Vale of Glamorgan in south Wales. The Norman palace was extremely minimal in excess of a little invigorated home, the seat of the de Barry family, which was worked in the thirteenth and fourteenth hundreds of years to supplant a prior earthwork.
By the late thirteenth century the stronghold had two stone structures on the east and west sides of a patio, however nothing now stays of these over the ground. Right on time in the fourteenth century the stronghold was fortified by the expansion of a vast lobby and gatehouse on its south side, and the remains of these can be seen today.
