Carmen Thyssen Space

The Carmen Thyssen Space is an art gallery within the municipality of Sant Feliu de Guíxols, within the Baix Emporda location. Containing works from the Carmen Thyssen Collection. Her dedication to promoting lifestyle lends special relevance to the own family sports that accompany the artwork on show. In 2003 an agreement become signed between the mayor of Sant Feliu de Guíxols, the Minister of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya and baroness Carmen Cervera giving 350 works from the Thyssen series of Catalan painting among 1850 and 1950 to the Carmen Thyssen Space, such as works by painters including Ramon Casas, Isidre Nonell and Santiago Rusinyol.

Some of these works are currently exhibited on the National Art Museum of Catalonia and the opposite element comes from the Carmen Cervera personal collection. Firstly, the town council needed to deliver away an vintage 17^th century sanatorium, but it become in the end determined that the vicinity of the collection will be the Serra Vicens factory.
