Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina

The Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina in Novi Sad is an open, productive and very expert organization with the mission to gather, save, display, decipher and advance the masterful legacy of the contemporary workmanship and culture in Vojvodina and the district. Established on February first 1966 as the Gallery of Contemporary Art, the organization changes its status in 1996 and turns into the Museum of Contemporary Art in Novi Sad, as the Gallery has dependably had every one of the characteristics of an exhibition hall, both in degree and character.

The foundation gains its present name, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina on 24^th March 2004. The Museum's store contains masterful accumulations of depictions, figures, prints and illustrations, works of reasonable craftsmanship and new and extended media of the second 50% of twentieth century in Vojvodina. The store includes 2500 fine arts, an extensive number of which are specialists' gifts – from Milan Kerc, Mileta Vitorovic, Stojan Tumic, Dusan Milovanovic, Zoran Petrovic, Bogomil Karlais, Ankica Opresnik, Bosko Perovic and others. Fine arts of world-well known specialists, for example, Victor Vasarely, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Rafael Soto and Jim Cave make the Museum's Foreign Art Collection.
