Cegar Hill

Egar slope, in the region of the city, was the area of a renowned fight that would turn into the first of numerous Serbian Uprisings against the Turks.

Symbolizing a military fortress, the landmark that was raised to recognize the fight is a beautiful pinnacle, inside which there is a winding staircase which can be moved to a tight patio including the best. Perspectives of the city and encompassing wide open are far from the grisly scenes of yesteryear.

On the 31st May 1809 the fighters and their administrator, Stevan Sineli, safeguarded the essential Serbian position. The fight took the whole day, with the Turks assaulting in waves. They were rejected five times, however with significant misfortunes.
