About St. Michaels Cave

If time is to be believed then the St. Michaels Cave has been a point of attraction since the days of Romans. It might have been built as an emergency hospital during second world war but was never used, and is now open for public eye for showcasing scores of cultural presentations. It is an impressive natural cavern used to safeguard the Neolithic inhabitants of the Rock. Looking at the structural designing of the cave it has an upper hall, linked with five passages with drops of between 40 feet and 150 feet to a smaller hall. Further a sequence of narrow holes paves way to chambers, getting as far as a depth of some 62.5m below the entrance. Special guided tours are also arranged to the deeply descending chambers, now known as Lower St. Michaels Cave. In todays time the St. Cathedral Cave is considered for its theatrical performances. Several concerts, ballet dance, drama & fashion show are staged here to entertain up to 400 spectators. So, we can say that it is a light-hearted place to travel with your friends and family.
