Sri Veda Narayana Temple is arranged in Nagalapuram. The temple is a fine example of the Vijayanagar engineering. It is trusted that Lord Sri Maha Vishnu, as Matsya, murdered the rakshasa evil presence Somakudu here, and recovered the Vedas from the last mentioned. The place of worship houses a picture of the Matsya type of Vishnu joined by Sri Devi and Bhu Devi on either side.
Sun venerate is an essential angle at this temple. Consistently in the long stretch of March the beams of the Sun go through the Gopurarn entrance for three days and fall on the symbol in the focal sanctum, and this is considered as a demonstration of reverence by the Sun.
