About Tiger Reserve

A World Heritage Site, the Sunderbans Tiger Reserve, is home to an enchanting variety of wild animals including spotted deer, wild pigs, monkeys, herons, kingfishers, white bellied eagles and about 270 Royal Bengal Tigers.The mesmerizing woods of Sunderban are the natural heaven for ardent wildlife lovers and nature admirers.Enjoy the lazy boat ride on the river with twisted mangroves everywhere, but keep a look out for crocodiles, monkeys, deer and lots of beautiful birds.

The tigers of Sunderbans Tiger Reserve, West Bengal are known to be mostly man-eaters. The uniqueness of the habitat and the lack of suitable prey are believed to have contributed to such unique behavioral trends of Sunderbans tiger. One might spot a Royal Bengal Tiger. Be sure to carry binoculars for better spotting.
