About Thursday Palki procession

Shirdi is loaded with effortlessness and endowments of Sai Baba. This profound dwelling place Sai takes after numerous customs like "day by day offerings by Abdul Baba and Boraoke families", "palaki parade each Thursday", "jholi parampara in mahasamadhi", "ramanavami" and "urs convention".

The 'Palki' parade begins from Samadhi Mandir which is endless home Shri Sai, continues to Dwarkamai and after that it moves to Chavadi. From Chavadi it returns back to Samadhi Mandir. This convention has establishes in those occasions when Shri Sai used to live here. From the year 1910 when Sai Baba was living in Dwarkamai Masjid, he used to rest in Chavadi.

His visit to Chavadi was joined by a Palki parade with all dignitaries including Tatya Kote Patil. Before the "Thursday Palki" at around 8.00 PM Sai's old representation wrapped in a Royal robe, holy staff and sacrosanct Paduka kept in a silver plate are put on position of royalty at the Samadhi to be seen by enthusiasts. At around 9.00 PM adherents of Sai accumulate in fundamental corridor of Samadhi mandir and sing reverential tunes like bhajans and abhangas.
