Thiruvambadi Krishna temple is one of the famous temples of Thrissur city. The engineering of the temple is exceptionally noteworthy. Thiruvambadi is one of the two gatherings partaking in Thrissur Pooram. Master Krishna is venerated alongside Devi Vishnumaya at this temple.
Despite the fact that the first temple was built in sixteenth century, the present structure was requested by Raja Rama Varma otherwise called Sakthan Thampuran, the standards of Kochi in eighteenth century.
The temple directs a beautiful ceremonious parade called Madathilavu to the Vadakkumnathan temple amid Thrissur Pooram celebrated in April/May. The parade is portrayed by caparisoned elephants, drum entertainers and Panchavadyam.
