About Thirunanthikarai Cave Temple

Thirunanthikarai Cave Temple or Thirunandhikarai Cave Temple, arranged in Thirparappu panchayath of Kanyakumari District, is a well known traveler goal. Thirunanthikarai Cave Temple is devoted to Lord Shiva. It is considered as the fourth sanctuary of Shivalyam. Thirumalai, Thikkurichi, Thiruparappu, Thirunanthikkarai, Ponmanai, Pannippagam, Kalkulam, Melancode, Thiruvidaicode, Thiruvidamcode, Thiruppanticode and Thiru Nattalam are the twelve sanctuaries of Shivalyam.

Thirunanthikkarai Temple is arranged on the stream banks of Nandhiaaru. The sanctuary is worked in the conventional Kerala style of sanctuary engineering. Despite the fact that the sanctuary is the dwelling place Shiva, a sanctum of Lord Vishnu is additionally present in the sanctuary confronting Lord Shiva. There is an old shake cut buckle sanctuary arranged towards the northern side of this sanctuary.
