Located at Ganpatipule in Ratnagiri district, the Swayambhu Ganapati temple is a temple you must add to your bucket list because it is an old, majestic temple whose beauty cannot be experienced merely through photographs. It is as old as 4000 years. It is dedicated to Lord Ganpati.
The main idol of the temple is that of Lord Ganpati, who is a Swayambhu or self manifested. It is formed of white sand. It is placed in the copper made sanctum sanatorium, which on getting the sunlight during sunrise and sunset appears immensely beautiful.
The temple is also known as Paschim Dear Dewata, it is at a distance of 55 km from Ratnagiri town.
