About Sri Yoga Narasimha

Yoga Narasimha Temple at Melukote is one of the high points of interest of this Hindu spiritual spot. Situated beneath the Pandavpura Taluk inside the Mysore of Karnataka, the remarkable temple stands on pinnacle of a hill at a top of 1777 metres above the ocean level. The historical temple draws devotees because of its architectural splendor, serene surroundings and spiritual significance. The majestic temple is dedicated to the Hindu deity, Narasimha. The temple houses an idol of Narasimha in a seated role with the Yogapatta. The temple is considered to be one of the seven holy centres committed to the worship of Narasimha.

Apart from the regular pujas achieved on a day by day basis, the temple holds special pujas to have a good time the Narasimha Jayanthi festival each 12 months. The history of the temple dates lower back to the ancient times. The temple become built during the Hoysala state. The beauty and spiritual importance of the temple has always involved the not unusual humans and the royalty alike. The temple has a huge drum that was donated by way of Tipu Sultan.
