Sri Varahswami Temple in Tirupati is situated on the banks of stream Swami Pushkarini in the celestial seven slopes of Tirumala. It is otherwise called Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy Temple. The sanctuary is committed to Sri Bhu Vara Swamy, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu as wild pig. The legend behind the sanctuary says that when Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy arrived on Earth, Sri Bhu Varaha Swami was living here.
That Lord Venkateshwara needed to look for authorization from the pig before living here. It is fundamental for the guests or fans to visit this sanctuary first and offer 'Naivedyam' preceding going to the Tirupati Temple. Nirvaidyam is the cooked nourishment offered to the God Sri Varahaswami. The god Lord Varahaswami in Tirumala is as Adi Varaha.
