This small town nestles near the famous Kaveri river. This town is situated at 35 km from the main city of Mysore. This place is quite well known for their temples. One of the most famous temples is the Keshava temple which was built during the time of Hoysala dynasty. From the minute details of the architecture to the live idols of gods will definitely catch your eye.
This beauty is now recognized and is taken care by Archeological Survey of India. The other temples which follow are – Chennakeshav Temple and Talakad Panchalinga Temple. The Chennakeshav temple was built in the year 1200’s. This beautifully constructed temple is a live example of the rich cultural and rich heritage of the Hoysala dynasty.
