Shaktinagar

Shaktinagar is an evaluation town in Raichur locale in the Indian province of Karnataka. There is a coal-based warm power plant set up by Karnataka Power Corporation Limited KPCL. It was established and named by B.R Jagan, who began the Raichur Thermal power Station as Divisional specialist in the late 1970s and proceeded to be the Chief Engineer of RTPS Raichur Thermal Power Station until the point when he moved to the KPC central command in Bengaluru.

He later lead the Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited KREDL and spearheaded the improvement of sustainable power sources in Karnataka, including Biogas, Solar, Mini and Micro hidel tasks and Wind vitality. Mr B. R Jagan was perceived by the administration of India and granted by then Prime Minister of India, Mr Narasimha Rao. Shaktinagar is found 20 km far from Raichur along Raichur - Hyderabad course.

Shaktinagar is well known for its warm power station which creates power from coal and is called R.T.P.S. Raichur warm power station. Preceding RTPS there was a little town called Deosugar which is acclaimed for its Lord Sugureshwara sanctuary.
