The lovely town of Lansdowne is arranged at a height of 1780 m above ocean level. It is in the south of Pauri in transit Kotdwar and is encompassed by thick oak and blue pine timberlands offering incredible mountain sees. It is a beguiling spot for a peaceful occasion as it is without the typical hustle - clamor of other slope stations in Uttarakhand.
Lansdowne was initially a well known slope station with the British. Pulled in by its solid atmosphere and normal magnificence, they set up a cantonment here. It was established by the, at that point Viceroy Lord Lansdowne in 188a7 AD. Consequently the place has been named after him. The well known Garhwal Rifles of the Indian Army has its summon office here.
Lansdowne is such a lovely hill station. It is so calm and serene from the humdrum of a daily life. We stayed at Kasang Valley and it is such a lovely place to stay. The owner of the hotel are very helpful and we had an amazing stay there, it is located beautifully. I would highly recommend visiting Lansdowne at least once in a lifetime if not much more
