About Samana
Samana is a city and a city chamber in Patiala locale of the State of Punjab. Samana follows its history to the times of Raja Jaipal who governed over, among others, the domains of Bhatinda, Samana. Samana fell under the control of Shahab-ud-Din Muhammad Gauri after the triumph of Ajmer and Delhi and was endowed to Qutb-ud-Din Aibek in 1192, alongside the regions of Ghuram and Sunam.
With the expanding significance of Sirhind under the mughals, Samana got somewhat set-back. While Samana is said to be a position of holy people and researchers amid the times of the mughals, it is famous for its expert killers, who served at Delhi and Sirhind. Sayyad Jala-ud-Din, who executed Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at Delhi in 1675 was from Samana. This loathed town was thusly one of the principal spots to have been sacked by Baba Banda Singh Bahadur. The mughals retook Samana towards the finish of 1710 AD. Sikhs recovered control in around 1742 AD by Baba Ala Singh, the originator of the Patiala managing family and was perceived as a major aspect of his regions by Ahmad Shah Durani. There are 2 Historic Sikh Gurdwaras in Samana which both identify with Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
